so virginia tech is my new favorite team. screw boulder. just kidding guys. makes it easy to say watching vick's magic. playing bc right now so this is great. since i've no intention of becoming my brother, i think five miles on the bike will be sufficient for now.
why do i agree to this? sitting at some paki kabob place with the guys. smells nasty. let's see, lamb brain or lamb leg? think i'll be getting the chicken karabi, whatever that is. not sure why these people can't eat normal foods. although now i can say i've had thai and after tonight i've had paki food. after this is some hayride thing. might ditch that for some real grub at chilis. we have to stop at a gas station so i can get a 90 oz coke and a 4 lbs snickers. looks like i'm going to gettysburg tomorrow. totally cramps into my schedule but i suppose i'll live. a freaking hayride is what's going on tonight followed by some church dance. might have to skip out on that one. so whatever it is i just ate was actually really good. very filling. half the pieces of meat had bones in them that were impossible to pick out. pita bread was great. i'd be even more impressed if i find out this stuff is healthy food. but no on seems to know. salad sucks because it was just shredded lettuce. maren is my alleged friend. ben isn't going on the hayride so i don't really want to go now. but i also don't want to sit and do nothing. tons of hoppin things all over the place for halloween, but a. i have no costume, and b. hate the whole alone part of the deal and it's just not these people's thing.

and here we are at gettysburg. the drive was crazy because the chick driving our rent-a-van was jerking us all over the place. didn't realize gettysburg was so large. always just envisioned a big field and that was it. there are so many monuments scattered all over the place. someone could spend a few days here. museum is impressive. more types of rifles and pistols and cannons that i thought was even around then. this town is really cool. my mom should live here. listening to coldplay, thinking of my boy in nyc, passed the matthew moving company. thinking i'm terrible for never getting around to writing him back. i miss him. out of every group of people i've hung with, aside from the boys of westside, the few times i'd stroll up with him and his d-town crew was who i felt most comfortable with. that is the group, the clique, i wish i belonged to. haha. we just got pulled over. 77 in a 53. ouch.
that sucks for her. vance is telling her he doesn't think she'll get a ticket because she's from out of state. i think she's for sure going to get one. 22 over is pretty steep. and the verdict is guilty/not guilty. $70. now she is bitching and yelling at us. he dropped the speed to cut her a break. she has no right to be mad. she's whining that he had his lights on before she passed him. which is true, but irrelevant. now she is calling all her family to yell "this is such bullshit." she's pretty retarded and she's been speeding since we stepped foot in the van.
run: 18:00 min, 7.5 sp, 2.23 miles
ride: 16:52 min, 89 rpm, 5:00 miles

another hearing. today is a homeland security subcommittee about the un oil for food scandal. i'm sitting directly behind newt gingrich. halloween today. chose to go as an economist/nerd/mike lee. haha. kidding. i love that guy. rosa parks was at the capitol this morning and 429 walked over to have a look. there is rarely a dull moment. hearing is kind of confusing because i'm not completely up to speed on the issue. unrelated, i had decided that i'd someday return to gettysburg for a more extensive tour, however, after learning that there are some 1,400 monuments, i think it's pretty unreasonable to think i can go back and see it all. i would have liked to spend more time at two of the museums. if i can convince my mom to move there, then i'll go back.

nirvana's love buzz is one of their best songs ever if you ask me. rotten apple by alice in chains is so amazing too. alice just plain kills. and have i mentioned that stp's no way out is something that everyone should listen to like three times in a row. so get to it.
